2020 Trustee Election

In accordance with state law, the term of the trustee representing the Fund’s annuitants expires December 1, 2020. On Thursday, October 15, 2020, an election will be held to select a representative for this position for a term beginning December 2, 2020 and ending December 1, 2023.   • Persons eligible to become the annuitant trustee: Any qualified employee annuitant who is receiving an age and service annuity.
     
  • To request a Nominating Petition: CLICK HERE to request a petition. Eligible annuitants may also request a petition via email at: Election@LABFChicago.org orby calling the LABF at 312-236-2065 to request that the appropriate form(s) be mailed or emailed to them.
     
  • Filing of the Nominating Petition: Nominating petitions must be signed by at least ten (10) employee annuitants of the LABF. The completed petition must be returned to the Fund office via email, mail or fax no later than August 24, 2020 with a readable, scanned image of the eligible member’s valid photo ID.
     
  • Persons entitled to vote: All employee annuitants and widow annuitants of the LABF.
     
  • Time and method of voting: Voting will be via Drive-Up in the parking lot of LiUNA Local 1092 located at 3841 South Halsted Street, Chicago, Illinois 60609on Thursday, October 15, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. A valid photo ID is required to vote.
